I have interlock, can you ensure there will be no damage during snow removal? 2014-10-04T01:27:51+00:00

C & R only uses the safest equipment and snow shovels to remove snow. We adapt to the type of driveway you have, ensuring no damage is made.

How often should I seal my driveway? 2014-10-04T01:25:28+00:00

We recommend once a year to extend the life of your driveway. If you miss a year don’t fret, just make sure you to get it done as soon as possible.

How long does asphalt take to dry? 2014-10-04T01:24:19+00:00

We recommend that you wait 24- 48 hours before driving on it. If you wait the recommended time we can guarantee it against tracking or staying sticky.

Can I resurface my existing driveway? 2014-10-02T15:26:03+00:00

If your existing driveway is still in good shape, but needs an update, resurfacing is a good option. Asphalt can be applied over the existing surface to give an instantly new and updated look. It should be noted though; resurfacing is only as good as the base you’re covering. If new asphalt is placed over existing cracked asphalt, over time, the new asphalt will crack too. With this in mind, we do not recommend placing asphalt over existing concrete, as the two materials have different expansion and contraction rates in extreme weather.

How long will my new asphalt driveway last? 2014-10-02T15:21:22+00:00

How long the driveway will last depends on a few factors. Typically, with proper maintenance, an asphalt driveway should last between 15-30 years. Factors like sun and weather, usage and wear all take a toll on the life of your driveway. Although Asphalt is strong and durable, it is also somewhat yielding. It will move and flex slightly with seasonal freezing and thawing and it can sometimes scar from heavy weight or sharp objects. Over time, asphalt can become dry and brittle from the elements, therefore, the older it is, the more susceptible it will become to cracking. With a little bit of maintenance, such as sealing and repairing damage early, you’ll be assured to get the most out of your driveway.

I’ve never hired a landscaping contractor before. How does this process work? 2014-10-02T15:56:46+00:00

Some people have never been through the process of hiring a contractor to do a landscape project before. And some people have never hired anyone to take care of their garden maintenance before – so here is how it works.

The process begins with you contacting us. We will need to discuss what type of project you are considering. We will go through a series of questions over the phone or via e-mail to determine what the project entails, then we will set up a time to come to your home to gather more information and look at the site. If there is more than one homeowner, it is very important that both are present during the initial meeting. This way all parties involved will have a better understanding of the process, where things are going, and what all of your options are.

From the initial meeting we will guide the process and keep you informed of the next steps. Please note that if you have any questions along the way, do not hesitate to ask! We fully understand how important communication and understanding is for the success of the relationship and the process. We are here to help in any way necessary.
